About This Place

Located in the vibrant heart of Minneapolis at 501 30th Ave SE, The Market At Malcolm Yards is a dynamic culinary destination that brilliantly blends the excitement of a bustling food court with the sophistication of a cocktail bar. This innovative communal dining space offers an eclectic mix of international flavors, presenting something to please every palate, from the spice-infused Korean Fried Chicken and tangy Dosa Pork Momo to the indulgent Bebe Zito Double Cheeseburger and perfectly crafted Old Fashion cocktails.

Step inside, and you’ll be greeted by an atmosphere buzzing with energy and friendship, where groups of food lovers gather to share bites and stories. The market’s open layout showcases a diverse selection of kitchens each specializing in dishes that are as vibrant visually as they are in flavor. Imagine sinking your teeth into a crispy yet tender Chicken Sando, layered with spicy gochujang and Asian mayonnaise within a soft Japanese milk bun, or savoring the rich, comforting goodness of Joey Meatballs’ build-your-own pasta options ranging from silky ravioli to pillowy gnocchi.

The Market At Malcolm Yards is more than just a place to eat—it’s a sensory journey. The aromas of chargrilled Free Range Chicken glazed with sesame ginger garlic, the inviting sizzle of Shredder Pizza fresh from the oven, and the warm, nostalgic notes of Spaghetti and Meatballs all mingle together in the air. Whether you’re stopping by for a crisp Bloody Mary on the expansive patio during a summer evening or indulging in deviled eggs topped with crispy bacon at Sunday at the Market, each bite promises a memorable burst of flavor.

Guests consistently praise the lively vibe and social energy here, making it a perfect spot for groups of friends or coworkers seeking a shared dining adventure. The outdoor seating area is especially loved for its chill atmosphere and stylish furniture, creating an inviting space to linger over drinks and conversation. As multiple customers note, the market tends to be busy—an indicator of its popularity—so arriving early to claim a comfortable seat is a wise move if you’re in a larger group.

While the variety is vast and the presentation photo-worthy, it’s worth noting that portion sizes lean toward appetizer style, encouraging guests to sample a range of dishes rather than settle for just one. Prices reflect the inclusive nature of service charges, meaning the convenience of no surprise tips adds to the experience, although some visitors find the cost a bit premium. Still, the welcoming environment, free parking, and availability of vegan and gluten-free options speak to a thoughtful approach catering to diverse needs.

In essence, The Market At Malcolm Yards is a one-of-a-kind destination where the sensory pleasures of vibrant, globally inspired flavors meet a communal spirit. It invites you to explore bold tastes—from the fiery heat of Korean chicken to the comforting richness of charcuterie platters and inventive cocktails—making every visit a delightful celebration of food, friends, and local culture.

A pricey affair because tips are already included in prices. That also includes fees and other miscellaneous.... It's a great place to come with friends or coworkers but probably not on a first date since it is quite busy. The outdoor seating is nice on summer evenings and they have some really cool chairs and chill vibes. Lots of parking so no need to worry about that, and it's free!!! If you're a foodie you absolutely have to come check this place out.

I really like the concept of this place! There is no entry fee, which is a plus, and they have plenty of options to choose from. Each restaurant inside had their own unique menu with different prices. They also had it decorated for Christmas which was cool.

Great variety of options, and everything looked incredible when it came out. All our food could have been used for marketing photos. Highly recommend the Chicken Sando from the chicken place, and the Beef Bulgogi at Eggflip.

Love the vibe! If you have a fun group and a bunch of foodie, this is a great place to checkout. It gets pretty loud, so it can get hard to hear one another. It's always busy, so I'd say go early to grab seats if you have a big group, even if there are plenty of seating options. This place is popular. The portions aren't the biggest, more like appetizer sizes.. I mean, I guess it fits the atmosphere of the place... snack and talk... I wouldn't say it's worth the price. We stayed there for 5 hours just talking and eating, and no one would tell you to leave. Great thing is, we didn't have to wait long for our food. Oh, and my group was obsessed with the water there. There's something special in it, it seems. Tons of parking space in the back, but can get hard to find because it's busy! We went on the weekends during early evening.

They serve a variety of food, including vegan & gluten-free options. I tried mexican cuisine, got sweet potato tacos & vegetarian nachos & loved it. Also, got a mocktail, it was just okay. Atmosphere is great, they have a nice patio as well. Food is a bit expensive, otherwise nice place.

I’ve always wanted to come to the market at Malcolm yards for like a year and finally made it here! Man it is mind blowing how ancient the building is, yet they restored it. It’s basically like a mall of the most phenomenal food, as if you had to have a prerequisite foodie award to get accepted into the club. They also have a bar here, but I never really dabbled in it; it is nice to have the option to sample the beer on tap and pay by the ounce. Martes Tacos is phenomenal and the people that work there are very kind. The chicken taco was out of this world, it brought me to flavor town! My best friend and son also really enjoyed the EggFlip, they have explosively good breakfast sandwiches!! World Street kitchen has scrumdiliumptious cookies as well yummmmm!

Such a fun and unique way to have dinner. Our family has very different food preferences and here, we were all able to find something we like! I don't really like the 1 card situation for paying as we had to share it between 5 of us. But the delicious food and atmosphere made it worth it!
